Art has been named as the Program Chair for the Optical Forum that will be presented at the 2010 ASOA Congress on Ophthalmic Practice Management. “I am delighted to have the opportunity to help ASOA put together a comprehensive series of courses that will look into all phases of dispensary design, operation, management and marketing” Art said. He continued, “This will be the perfect opportunity for dispensing ophthalmologists and their administrators to invite their opticians to attend a conference with them. Taking classes together will increase dialogue and clarify communications among those responsible for dispensary operations. In addition, we intend to invite some people to attend who normally do not get a chance to present at these conferences.” According to Art, “Of particular interest will be the panel discussion composed of representatives from practices that have completed optical shop turnarounds.”
